Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar is located on the water’s edge with panoramic lake and mountain views. Prime’s chef specialises in char-grilled steak and seafood you can even bring your own freshly-caught trout for the chefs to cook.
Prime’s drinks list features many local pinot noir labels as well as cocktails and numerous beers to choose from. Prime is open daily from midday for lunch and dinner from 5pm. Our chefs cater for special diets with advance notice.
In summer our lakeside lawn provides ultimate waterfront dining and upstairs we have an open fire on cold evenings and all tables enjoy stunning lake and mountain views.
As well as offering nightly dining, Prime is a fabulous function venue. Our professional event management team is experienced at hosting weddings, concerts, gala dinners, fashion shows and awards nights.
Weddings at Prime
In central Queenstown, overlooking Lake Wakatipu, Prime is a spacious venue that accommodates 300 guests for canapes or 200 for seated meals. A private curtained area seats 50.
Prime’s lakeside lawn is perfect for a wedding ceremony or pre-dinner drinks with uninterrupted views across Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. The venue also features an open air balcony with town views.
We offer a variety of wedding packages and catering options priced from $50 to $150 per person.
Events at Prime
Prime is a modern venue with stylish decor and stunning lake views through floor to ceiling windows. Located in the centre of town, overlooking Queenstown Bay, Prime has a lift from Rees St and features a balcony, stage, sound system, data projector and lighting bank.
