As far back as the 1860s gold was found in the Arrow River. It was then mined for the gold by Chinese. There remnants still lie of the way they lived.
Arrowtown village is unique with a number of stores that still pose the look of the early 1900s.
Situated a 8 minute walk away is the Arrowtown Holiday Park which is surrounded by hills and a great view of the Remarkables Ski Field. The Arrowtown Holiday Park offers a variety of accommodation from Camping Sites, Self contained units.
We also have a facility called the Oregon Lodge which can sleep up to 38 guests. This is great place to have family gatherings, school groups or a week end away with a group of friends.
It is a beautiful place to come and relax, go for walks around the Arrow River, take advantage of all the bike trails around the area to local wineries, Millbrook and Lake Hayes.
